Hoplite Pub & Beer Garden is Carolina Beach's new locals' secret. They serve standard American and Irish Pub Faire made fresh daily. Items like their Shepherd's Pie or their Corned Beef and Cabbage are already becoming local favorites. With the corned beef coming off a brisket which has been cooked to perfection for several hours, you won't need to look any further for the best reuben you've ever had. The Banger's and Mashed will make you want to come back time and time again. Come with your appetite, because the portions are huge, especially if you order one of the Big Daddy Sandwiches or the full plate of nachos! Don't fret light eaters; they will accomodate anyone's hunger.

They also serve a modest list of wines and spirits which cover all the basic pallettes, but their main attraction besides the food is a great list of Irish beers. Guiness, Harp, Smithwick's and McSorley's Irish Pale Ale are always flowing from the taps! They also have two drafts straight from Wilmington's own Front Street Brewery: Raspberry Wheat and Scottish Ale! They also have an extensive list of bottled beers to pick from.
